About Strother Law, PLLC

A Firm With Hearts and Smarts

Strother Law, PLLC represents a unique blend of compassion and expertise in the Texas legal landscape. Founded in Joshua, Texas in the summer of 2012, our firm has grown from humble beginnings into a trusted pillar of the Johnson County legal community. In 2020, we expanded our presence by moving to our current location at 13 N. Main Street in Cleburne, directly across from the historic Johnson County Courthouse.

What sets our firm apart is not just our legal knowledge, but our genuine commitment to understanding and serving the families who trust us with their most important legal matters. We believe that effective legal representation requires both intellectual rigor and emotional intelligence – the "hearts and smarts" that define our approach to every case.

Our practice focuses on three core areas where families need trusted guidance. We help families navigate the complexities of estate administration after the loss of a loved one. Our team provides compassionate support for establishing legal guardianship when family members need protection. We also guide clients through creating comprehensive estate plans to secure their family's future. While we also handle select family law matters, our primary dedication is to helping families protect their loved ones and preserve their legacies.

Community Involvement and Service

Giving Back to Johnson and Somervell Counties

Strother Law, PLLC is more than just a law firm – we are active members of the community we serve. Since 2013, we have partnered with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas to provide pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford representation. Our participation in the monthly Legal Aid Clinic demonstrates our belief that everyone deserves access to justice, regardless of their financial circumstances.

The Legal Aid Clinic meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Booker T. Washington Recreation Center, located at 100 Mansfield Road in Cleburne. During these sessions, we provide free legal consultations and guidance to community members facing various legal challenges.

Beyond our pro bono work, we maintain strong connections throughout Johnson and Somervell Counties. We understand the unique needs and values of our community because we are part of it. This local knowledge informs our practice and helps us provide more effective, culturally sensitive legal services.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Excellence in legal practice requires continuous learning and adaptation. We stay current with changes in Texas law, particularly in the areas of probate, guardianship, and estate planning. Regular continuing education ensures we provide our clients with the most up-to-date legal strategies and solutions.

We also embrace technology to improve client service and efficiency. Our modern approach includes secure digital communications, electronic document management, and online resources that make it easier for clients to work with us. However, we never let technology replace the personal touch that defines our practice.

Our team approach ensures that every client benefits from our collective knowledge and experience. While maintaining attorney-client confidentiality, we collaborate internally to develop the best strategies for complex cases. This collaborative environment also extends to our relationships with other professionals, including financial advisors, healthcare providers, and social services agencies, allowing us to address the full spectrum of our clients' needs.

At Strother Law, PLLC, we measure our success not just by case outcomes, but by the peace of mind we bring to the families we serve. When you choose our firm, you are choosing a Johnson County lawyer who will stand by you through challenging times and celebrate with you when matters are successfully resolved. We invite you to experience the difference that hearts and smarts can make in your legal journey.
